Eylul Baykara

Counselling Psychologist

I was born and raised in Istanbul, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Over the years, I have worked with people from many walks of life, challenges, and hopes for change. My path in psychology has led me to explore different approaches, but my strongest professional connection is with EMDR Therapy and Schema Therapy. These approaches help clients make sense of difficult experiences, recognise the patterns holding them back, and build new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating that support the life they want to live.

I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, real, and respectful of the person you are. My role is to offer a space where you can talk openly—without fear of judgement—about what is on your mind or weighing on your heart. We decide together what you would like to work on, and we move forward at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Every client’s story is different, so I do not follow a fixed formula. I draw on different evidence-based approaches, adapting them to suit your needs. When working with couples, I often use the Gottman Method to help partners communicate more openly, manage conflict in healthier ways, and strengthen their emotional connection.

My aim is to help you not only work through your current challenges but also build the foundations for lasting growth and resilience.
