THE VALUES THAT DRIVE US
Values aren’t just words on a corporate profile. We believe our values shape the way we operate.
The Free Spirit Collective is anchored strongly in its values:
Creativity, Community, Clinical Excellence, Service, Authenticity, Gratitude, Love and Trust.
These values reflect in the way we express and conduct ourselves every day, which helps keep these values alive and relevant and ensures that they aren’t reduced to mere talk.
At The Free Spirit Collective, we do our best to provide you with the tools and the inspiration that help you connect the dots and paint your picture of good mental health and overall wellbeing. Our approach is to use compassion as a way to help you through your challenges, journeying with you towards the change you seek.
When it comes to therapy, we like to go beyond specific concerns and look at the whole person seated in front of us, learning as much as we can about the person and trying to address personal concerns, needs, challenges and strengths. We try to find ways of reducing distress and helping people build the life they want. We go beyond therapy in the chair and look at how the outcome of therapy can apply to your world.
Our approach to therapy is an integrative one, which means our focus is not only on specific concerns but on the whole person. We help people take their growth in therapy into their life, building patterns of healthy functioning in all areas – mental, emotional, creative, relational and spiritual.
We put our approach to work through a group of clinicians trained in different therapeutic models that are put to use based on individual client needs.
At The Free Spirit Collective, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence to ensure that our clients receive nothing more than the best possible care. This makes continuous development the core of our practice. Let us tell you a bit about everything we do to stay true to this core.
Regular supervision is expected to be part of any psychologist’s or therapist’s practice regardless of age or experience. Your therapist can’t know everything already. Supervision relates to a meeting between your therapist and a more experienced therapist to discuss cases, issues, difficulties and gaps in knowledge.
It is a space for your therapist to reflect on the work they do with you, consider what biases or blind spots they may be bringing to your session and explore the possibility of different directions to better understand their work with you.
Change is a constant. We are here to walk the journey with you. So, come start your journey with us on Happiness Street.
