I believe in normalizing mental health conversations and helping people make sense of their emotional experiences. In doing so, I hope to empower others to affect positive change in their own wellbeing.
I am a Clinical Psychologist from Ireland who trained in the UK. I have worked in various mental health settings including community, inpatient, and outpatient since 2013 and have worked with children and adults with varying presenting difficulties.
Before moving to the UAE, I worked in a specialist service in the NHS in the UK providing treatment to adults who experienced problematic gambling. In a concurrent role I also provided neuropsychological assessment to children within a specialist children’s hospital where I assessed cognitive ability as part of a pediatric neuro-oncology service.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults with varying mental health presentations including low mood, anxiety, relational difficulties, and problematic gambling. I have special interests in men’s mental health and wellbeing, and neuropsychological assessment. I believe it is important to start normalizing the fact that we all face difficulties, and we all struggle, and that includes us men.
I am experienced in psychological assessment and work collaboratively with you to create a comprehensive understanding of your difficulties, this then allows for a tailored intervention best suited to your needs.
I work from an integrative approach to therapy where I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for people to share their concerns. I value the relationship we build throughout therapy and take pleasure in helping others work through difficult times.
