I am an Emirati Counselling Psychologist from Dubai, with academic and professional experience in both the UAE and abroad across public and private sectors. My work and training have focused on supporting adults from diverse backgrounds who live across different cultures. I have experience working with anxiety-related difficulties, minority stress, and the emotional impact of navigating identity, belonging, and expectations, alongside helping individuals develop healthier coping mechanisms and emotional resilience.
I lived for 9 years across the US, the UK, and Europe, and travelled to over 90 countries. These experiences shaped my openness, curiosity, and deep appreciation for the diversity of human experience. They also helped me understand the emotional realities of many expats living in Dubai, including the excitement of a cosmopolitan city alongside challenges such as loneliness, cultural adjustment, and homesickness. They also highlighted the psychological toll created by Dubai’s fast-paced, competitive, and often glamorous lifestyle, where workaholism and high expectations can leave many people feeling pressured, disconnected, or emotionally drained. At the same time, these experiences enriched my understanding of Emiratis who enjoy Dubai’s global energy and opportunities yet sometimes struggle to balance modern lifestyles with family values and local traditions.
My approach to therapy is integrative and personalised, guided by empathy, trust, and respect. I aim to create a safe, open, and non-judgmental space where people feel genuinely heard, supported, and accepted. I work with adults aged 18 and above and with couples, supporting them through mental health concerns, life and career transitions, relationship difficulties, and emotional struggles. I believe everyone deserves well-being and happiness, even though the path toward them can sometimes require patience, effort, and self-compassion.
I offer therapy in both Arabic and English and value working with people from different cultures, identities, and backgrounds. I strive to bring warmth, cultural sensitivity, and understanding into every session.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy coffee, exploring different cuisines, travelling and exploring new places and cultures, meeting new people, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
