I have always believed that every child has the right to feel safe, understood, and empowered. My work and research have been shaped by this core value—and by a deep commitment to serving children, adolescents, and families in the Arab world with compassion, clarity, and culturally attuned care.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve as an adjunct professor at Zayed University, where I have the privilege of mentoring future professionals in psychology and education. This academic role keeps me grounded in research and connected to the evolving needs of our region.
I’m a licensed child psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D), with over 12 years of experience working across the Arab world. My practice is grounded in evidence-based methods, but always led by the child in front of me. I have had the privilege of walking alongside many families and professionals—especially those navigating autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral or emotional challenges—on their path toward meaningful progress and healing.
I specialize in designing functional and vocational programs for adolescents, as well as working on often-overlooked topics like sexual health education, personal safety, and healthy communication. I also collaborate closely with schools, parents, and community professionals to promote safeguarding strategies and inclusive practices that are both practical and preventive.
My approach is behavioral, relational, and strengths-based. I believe safeguarding doesn’t just happen in therapy rooms—it belongs in classrooms, conversations, and policies. This belief led me to launch Amana, a passion project turned advocacy initiative aimed at promoting child safety across homes, schools, and systems.
Outside the therapy room, I offer workshops, webinars, and trainings for parents and professionals. I’m also proud to serve on the board of the Association of Behavior Analysis in Lebanon (ABAL), where I continue to advocate for ethical, culturally competent, and empowering practices in the field.
When I’m not working, I’m usually chasing after my kids and cats, skydiving, or spending quality time with a good book.
