To join someone on their journey has always been a privilege for me. Through more than 15 years of clinical practice, largely in the GCC, I have developed a compassionate and culturally aware approach to therapy. I am trained in several psychological modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). This allows me to take a person-centred and dynamic approach to therapy which accounts for the individual needs of each client and the journey they are on.
I was born and raised in the UK and spent most of my life in Scotland. I have travelled extensively and love experiencing other cultures and countries. I have always been curious about people and happiest when surrounded by friends and family. I am a mum to three beautiful boys biologically and one equally beautiful stepson. Becoming a mum added a new dimension to my clinical practice and fuelled a passion for all things pregnancy, post-partum, and infancy.
A large part of my practice is focused on supporting clients during pregnancy and postnatal periods. This includes prenatal and postnatal mood disorders, traumatic birth, fertility and IVF, infant loss, concerns around bonding and other specific phobias.
I also see people with a range of other psychological concerns and welcome clients over the age of 16 years from both genders. I offer supervision, consultation and training to colleagues in psychology and beyond and collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines, which I believe is a great opportunity for knowledge sharing and learning.
When I am not working, you will find me with my children. I also love spending time with friends, working out with friends, horse riding, indulging in good food and reading a good book while in a hammock.
